Jeff Martin has taught at the K-Zone in a substitute roll during the past year. This year, he will be joining the academy full-time as a pitching, catching and hitting instructor as well as serving as the coordinator of the Diamond Satellite Facility in Dalton, Georgia. Jeff is also an assistant coach at Chattanooga State. Martin coached at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga under former coaches Ralph and Karen Weekly, serving as a member of a staff that compiled an impressive record with three straight Southern Conference championships, two Southern Conference tournament titles, and two consecutive appearances in the NCAA regional tournament.
Martin attended Worth County High School in Sylvester, Georgia and Rossville High in Rossville, Georgia, where he was a three-year letter winner as a catcher on the baseball teams. He continued his playing career in highly competitive men’s leagues in the Chattanooga area. Martin has been very involved in coaching youth girl’s fastpitch in the Chattanooga area.
Coach Martin brings plenty of experience, knowledge and a strong work ethic to our program and should help our players obtain their goals on and off the diamond.
